Mr. Kabel is a business advisor and consultant providing direction to CEOs, boards, and investors in the areas of organizational assessments, strategy, tactics, acquisitions, and overall troubleshooting. His main industries of focus are energy technology, renewable energy, and the marine industries. He usually works for clients who have a strong desire to grow their businesses.
In addition to running his own business, Mr. Kabel has held the following positions:
• CEO, Acciona Solar Power
• President, Wartsila North America
• CEO, Clean Air Power
• General Manager, GE Distributed Power
• President, MKW Power Systems
Mr. Kabel has provided CEO coaching and senior management advisory. Earlier in his career, Mr. Kabel headed up sales and services organizations and also spent time in mergers & acquisitions (GE).
Mr. Kabel has significant experience with the start-up, expansion, and turn-around phases of companies. He has founded or helped to start up companies in the energy, marine, and transportation sectors. Some of his start-ups have included Bull Frog Green Energy LLC, a solar development company; GE Distributed Power, a start-up funded by the General Electric Company; and Sea Mobility, Inc., a ship management firm which utilized civilian crews to operate U.S. Navy Surveillance ships on Top Secret missions.
Mr. Kabel has received a B.S. degree from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, an M.S.E. degree from the University of Michigan, and an M.B.A. degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is currently working on an MSc in Organizational Psychology at the University of London.
